Demochko G. Formation and development of the Ukrainian soviet health system in Kharkiv (1919-1934)

The object of the research: formation and development of system of protection of health. The dissertation purpose is the analysis of activity of state bodies, public on development of system of health services of the population of Kharkov during its stay in the status of the capital of USSR, illumination of characteristics of creation and development of medical establishments, formation and activity of system of working medicine, analysis of measures on struggle with social diseases. Methods: analytical, synthetic, logic; comparative-historical, problem-chronological; a method of demographic statistics, medical statistics. Scientific novelty:  this is a first research on a history of development of health services of Kharkov, the capital of USSR, which research the social measures, directed on preservation and improvement of kharkovites health. Practical value: the results of research can be used by development of educational and special courses on a history of medicine, history of Ukraine and study of the local-lore in higher educational institutions, especially such, where prepare of manager in sphere of protection of health, for museums, libraries, cultural centers etc. Sphere of use: higher educational institutions.
