Essay

This thesis presents the results of research of creating initial materials of fodder beet resistant to rhizomania. Diagnostic of virus of necrotic turning yellow of beet nerves in fodder beet crops is done and coincidence of range of the virus in fodder and sugar beet is defined. For the first time in Ukraine features of symptoms and passage of pathological process of rhizomania in fodder beet are shown. For the first time the posterity of fodder beet С1 resistant to rhizomania for morphological characteristics (leaf shape factor, root shape index,) ploidy level, pollen quality, resistance to rhizomania, leaf apparatus disease and yield of roots are estimate. Average positive connection (r = 0,34) between the shape of root and fodder beet infection with virus of necrotic turning yellow of beet nerves is established.
