Essay

In the thesis V. Yevtushevskyi's pedagogical ideas have been revealed and systematized for the first time; his place and role in the development of pedagogical thoughts of our country during the second half of the ХІХ century have been determined. Social and pedagogical background and the main factors of his pedagogical ideas and educational activity formation and development have been found out as well as the substantiation of the process of their development and the main periods. The experience of V. Yevtushevskyi's educational activity has been summarized and its main tendencies have been determined. The updating of pedagogical ideas and the experience of educational activity in the context of national system of education modernization have been performed.
