Essay

The dissertation presents the theoretical foundations of strategic management in education and a new practical solution of actual problems of the head’s preparation to the implementation of strategic management, allowing us to draw conclusions: As a result of terminological analysis and retrospective analysis of strategic management the categorical-conceptual structuring field is outlined through basic and derived categories that forms the core of the theory of SM in education and subject-based training in content components of GEE heads to implement SM in the modern world outlook context; in the author's interpretation of the essence of the concept of «strategic management of educational organizations». Substantiated the content of GEE heads training to implementing strategic management in the postgraduate education system through the integration of principles of educational management, strategic management, main management functions and components of Ukrainian headmasters basic standards of professional activity. Evaluation criteria and performance levels of readiness of the GEE heads to implement the strategic management of its components are suggested – cognitive trust, procedural and functional, personal. It is found out that commitment to the GEE heads of strategic management is a personal professional education, integrative quality personal manager, syncretic combination of cognitive, procedural and personal components, implementation which provides effective strategic management of GEE and the process of its formation – determines the qualitative changes in its components. It was made a theoretically grounded model of the system of GEE heads to the implementation of strategic management in postgraduate education, which consists of five interrelated components. The results showed qualitative changes of GEE heads readiness to implement SM in the experimental group, in which learning process were implemented modernized content, module-block organization of training, methods of teaching the course «Strategic Management in Education» for all its highlighted as indicators.
