Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying of epidemic state of trout viral haemorrhagic septicemia in Ukrainian fish farms and development of the test system for detection of RNA viral haemorrhagic septicemia virus of rainbow trout by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR). An epidemiologic situation of trout viral haemorrhagic septicemia in registered Ukrainian fish farming was studied. It was carried out the monitoring of viral haemorrhagic septicemia using virological, molecular and serological diagnostic methods. It was stated that in 2011 fish farms of six regions of Ukraine (Transcarpathian, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Volyn, Rivne, AR Crimea) were free from the disease, indicating the absence of virus circulation in these areas. It was studied and characterized properties of VHS reference strains DH4p101 and Polish isolate (PL 1). It was created the test system to detect RNA virus of trout haemorrhagic septicemia by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR). It was proposed an effective scheme of laboratory diagnosis of VHS using various methods and systems to prevent dissemination of the causative agent onto Ukraine territory.
