Essay

The dissertation is a theoretical experimental investigation of the problem of professional future foreign language teachers' preparation to the work with gifted children. The state of professional future foreign language teachers' preparation to the work with gifted children in Ukraine and abroad is analyzed in the dissertation. The paper defines such concepts as: "linguistic gift", "linguistic abilities", "readiness". The model of professional future foreign language teachers' preparation to the work with gifted children is described. The aim, principles, forms, methods, means, stages, pedagogical conditions of the process of professional future foreign language teachers' preparation to the work with gifted children are defined. The model of professional future foreign language teachers' preparation to the work with gifted children consists of four components. The result of preparation is readiness to the work with gifted children, which consists of four connected components. The criteria, indicators and levels of forming the readiness of future foreign language teachers to the work with gifted children are grounded. The process of professional future foreign language teachers' preparation to the work with gifted children are based on the following principles: personality orientated studying, culture accordance, variance and intensification of studying, accountability of the native language, system and simplicity of studying, connection of theory and practice, conscious educational-cognitive activity. The pedagogical conditions of professional future foreign language teachers' preparation to the work with gifted children have been formed: renewal of educational disciplines and improvement of pedagogical practices with orientating its aims, motives for the formation of abilities to the work with the gifted children; individualization of professional future foreign language teachers' preparation process to the work with gifted children; usage of communicative approach and innovative techniques in the process of professional future foreign language teachers' preparation to the work with gifted children.
