Object of the work is the text of the novel by A.V. Ilichevsky "Matisse"; The purpose of the work is the analysis of linguistic tools and techniques of representation of concepts space and time in the text of the novel by A.V. Ilichevsky "Matisse" in cognitive and stylistic aspects; Methods of the work include the method of continuous sampling and analysis of lexical material, comparative and interpretative methods, linguostylistic description, extralinguistic methods, conceptual analysis, elements of the statistical method; Novelty of the work lies in an original approach to the analysis of linguistic tools and techniques of verbalization the concepts of the novel by A. Ilichevsky "Matisse," which wasn’t the object of linguistic study; Results of the work: we have clarified the content category concept as a tool for linguistic analysis; algorithm analysis of the concept in a literary text; allocated the concepts, which formed the concept sphere of the novel by A. Ilichevsky "Matisse"; comprehensively studied language tools and techniques of verbalization of the basic concepts space and time, as well as associated with them in the text concepts; modeleed the structure of the concepts, established links between the concepts, which formed the conceptual sphere of the work; Area of the work includes stylistics, poetics, cognitive linguistics, linguistic analysis of a text.
