Essay

The object of our research is the process of professional training of a foreign language teacher-to-be; the subject of our research is professional and pedagogical competence of a future foreign language teacher-to-be; the aim of the thesis is to assess the influence of ICT on the forming professional and pedagogical competence during the process of future foreign language teacher's training; the methods of our research are theoretical, empirical, methods of mathematical statistics; the novelty of the research is that a new model of forming professional and pedagogical competence of future foreign language teachers by means of information and communication technologies was worked out and experimentally tested for the first time .The suggested model includes components (motivational, operational and functional, reflexive), stages (educational and informative, content, constructional), content (the system, depth and nature of the knowledge and skills gained with the help of ICT means), means (program software, Internet technologies, multimedia technologies, computer hardware), methods and forms, criteria (personal, content-procedural, assessing-regulatory ) and satisfy the criteria rates (motivation, communicativeness, creativity potential, professional skills, informational literacy, self-assessment, self-control); the essence of main terms of the research ("information and communication technologies", "professional and pedagogical competence" etc.), criteria and rates, the levels of formed professional and pedagogical competence of a future foreign language teacher-to-be (low, middle, high) were specified, the idea that forming of professional and pedagogical competence of a future foreign language teacher-to-word be more effective if we create information and communication environment got further development.
