Essay

Object - Education Managers' professional activity. Aim - to substantiate theoretically and elaborate practically pedagogical conditions of Education Managers' training for fulfilling control-diagnostic functions. Methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical. Theoretical implementation and novelty - the essence of the phenomenon "control-diagnostic functions" has been theoretically substantiated; the structure of functional competency of education managers for fulfilling control-diagnostic functions has been defined; the place of control-diagnostic functions in the system of management has been determined; the efficiency criteria and evaluative indicators of education managers' functional competency for fulfilling control-diagnostic functions in secondary schools have been defined; the pedagogical conditions of education managers' training for fulfilling control-diagnostic functions have been disclosed. Practical implementation - the methodology of developing education managers' functional competency for fulfilling control-diagnostic functions have been scientifically grounded, elaborated, verified and applied into the process of continuing professional education; the educational manuals "Control-diagnostic functions in secondary schools management", "Monitoring and evaluation in education" have been elaborated. The degree of introduction is high. The field of application is pedagogical, higher educational establishments, in-service training.
