Andrianova N. Cognitive, pragmatic, linguistic and cultural characteristics of communication in genre of chat (based on the material of English, French, Russian, Ukrainian languages)

The thesis presents a new triangulation approach to the comparative study of cognitive, pragmatic, linguistic and cultural peculiarities of English, French, Russian, Ukrainian speakers' communication in genre of chat. Cognitive and pragmatic organization of Internet community of English, French, Russian, Ukrainian languages is described; genre forming mechanisms of chat - polyphony and elimination of lacunas in linguistic consciousness of chat visitors - are elicited; regularities and differences in verbalization of conceptual dyad friend - strange in chat-communication of English, French, Russian, Ukrainian languages are determined; it analyzes the associative, semantic and discursive realizations of conceptual dyad friend - strange in chat-communication of representatives of the English, French, Russian, Ukrainian Internet communities.
