Essay

The thesis is an extensive research of the soviet party nomenclature of the Ukrainian SSR in the second half of 1980s-the beginning of 1990s. It has been found out that Ukrainian nomenclature underwent a considerable transformation under the influence of significant changes in the social and political life of the republic as well as alterations in the personnel policy at the time of Perestroika. On the basis of the statistical analysis of the data on composition and replacement of the leadership personnel the dynamics of the quantitative and qualitative changes in the socio-professional structure of the nomenclature have been shown.
