Essay

Normative and organizational framework of teachers training for regional studies work at school (development and implementation of regulations, centralization of management, creation of new types of educational institutions for teachers training and retraining, building of bases, teaching courses; conducting of All-Ukrainian, provincial, district and county meetings on education, etc.) were defined in the thesis. Structure (pedagogical colleges, institutes of public education, retraining centers) and content of future teachers training for regional studies work of the study period (construction of curriculum and programs based on regional study principle, the introduction of regional studies elements in the educational process of universities, the introduction of regional studies courses to curriculum) were grounded. Forms (courses, conferences, seminars, teaching meetings, conventions, self- educational activity, regional studies groups, associations, clubs, weather stations, regional studies departments and offices, diploma works on regional studies theme, pedagogical practice) and methods (laboratory, seminars, research, excursion, observation method, etc.) of teacher training for regional studies work at school were outlined. Little-known and previously unknown archival documents, historical facts, which made it possible to expand and specify the scientific knowledge about the regional studies work at universities and retraining of teachers for regional studies work at school in 20-30s of XX century were introduced into circulation.
