The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of pedagogical views of Hryhoriy Vashchenko. Characteristics of the pedagogue's approach to the nature of the process of youth education and training are grounded, as well as structural components of the educational system of H. Vashchenko are identified. Pedagogical requirements of the scientist to the content and methods of teaching are revealed. Systematization and critical analysis of historical and pedagogical works of H. Vashchenko are made in the dissertation.
