Illiash I. Social and economic development of settlements of agro-industrial region in the conditions of society transformation

The analysis of network forming of settlements in an agroindustrial region depending on the national and regional factors, its development according to the state of public relations in the country is carried out. The tendencies of change in population and functions of settlements in Ternopil region are considered. Forecasting changes in population of the region on the whole. The analysis of modern level of economic and social development of settlements, its social and economic base, and public economic importance in the systems of region settlement is made. Directions of optimization of social and economic development of city and rural settlements of agro-industrial region, ways of increasing of the efficiency of settlement management in the conditions of reformation of territorial and administrative structure of the country are offered.
