In the dissertation, on the basis of complex and objective approach the basic socio-economic and cultural processes in the village of Drohobych, Lviv, Stanislavsk and Ternopil regions during the period from 1944 to 1950 are thoroughly covered. On the basis of thorough analysis of a wide range of archival sources, publications of documents and materials, periodicals and of the achievements of domestic and foreign historiography features and regularities of the process of the collectivisation of agriculture of West Ukrainian region are analysed. The role, functions and basic branches of work of MTS in the context of rural collectivisation is revealed.
