Essay

Нeart remodeling peculiarities in case of experimental permanent hyperglycemia have been ascertained in mature and immature animals by the complex morphological research. It has been established that month-long hyperglycemia in both age groups causes the development of compensatory myocardial hypertrophy. Long-term hyperglycemia (for three months) leads to the considerable changes of macrometric and micrometric heart parameters, which are more expressed in the immature rats, and to heart decompensation and remodeling according to the dilatational type. Non-specific reorganization of myofibrillar, mitochondrial and nuclear apparatus of cardiomyocytes and changes of myocardial capillary structure of left ventricle and heart auricules have been revealed on subcellular level. Activation of endocrine cardiomyocyte secretory function of heart auricules has been observed in case of short-term hyperglycemia and its exhaustion – in case of long-term hyperglycemia. It has been shown that permanent hyperglycemia results in structural changes of autonomic myocardial nerves and their expression depends on hyperglycemia duration. Density of adrenergic nerve plexuses disposition was increasing during the first month of research and was decreasing during further terms. Density of cholinesterase-positive nerve fibers was progressively decreasing during the experiment. It has been revealed that quantitative changes of autonomic myocardial innervation in case of hyperglycemia are more expressed in the immature animals.
