The dissertation deals with the close retrospective analysis of M. Hrushevskyi's scientific, pedagogical and teaching activity in 1894 - 1917 years. The author substantiates the opportunity & expediency of study the problem of M. Hrushevskyi's scientific, pedagogical and educational activity at the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century. The peculiarities of Lviv scientific school formation as the result of the scientist's pedagogical work have been investigated. The methods of his struggle for the Ukrainian national school in Eastern and Nadnipryanska Ukraine have been revealed.
