Object - professional training of teachers in the Chinese People's Republic; aim - to analyse and generalize the theoretical ideas and practice of professional training of primary school teachers in the Chinese People's Republic in order to creatively use the pedagogically valuable experience in present day pedagogical education in Ukraine; methods - general scientific, historical- pedagogical, retrospective, genetic, system-structural, problem and goal oriented, comparative-pedagogical; novelty - the research has been the first one to provide an analysis and generalization of theoretical ideas and practice of teachers' professional training in the Chinese People's Republic; the stages in the development of pedagogical education in the Chinese People's Republic have been identified; the current tendencies in the development of the system of professional training of primary school teachers in the Chinese People's Republic have been identified and justified; the directions for the creative use of valuable theoretical ideas and practical experience of Chinese educators in the sphere of primary school teachers' training in the system of pedagogical training in Ukraine have been worked out; 10 statutory documents ensuring provision of pedagogical education in the Chinese People's Republic have been introduced for scientific study; results - the dissertation research materials have been widely used at the Confucius Institute of V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University and in teaching the disciplines "Comparative Pedagogy", "History of Pedagogy", "Higher School Pedagogy", "Philosophy of Education" ; field - pedagogy
