Shcherban O. Potter's of school Opishne: preservation and development of professional knowledge and traditions (1894–2000)

Object: pottery schools of Opishne. Objective: to complete the transfer of research traditions expertise in pottery schools and their influence on pottery in the famous center of folk art culture of Ukraine - the town Opishne that in Poltava. Methods: comprehensive analysis, comparative, historical and structural-functional, typological and statistical. Results for the first time in Ukrainian ethnology thoroughly examined the determining influence of pottery school to maintain and develop professional knowledge and pottery traditions Opishne, to the scientific community put a considerable amount of field ceramological and archival material about their activities. Scope: to write the history of Ukrainian pottery, including preparation of encyclopedias "Ukrainian pottery", read lectures on the basics ceramology, compilation of catalogs, etc. organization and correlation activity of modern pottery schools; to optimize the educational process at the State Art Specialized Boarding School I-III "College of Arts Opishne" and to build ceramological exhibitions in National Museum of Ukrainian Pottery in Opishne.
