Kuchera T. National identity: regional peculiarities of formation

Dissertation is devoted integral theoretical research to the problem of formation national identity in contemporary Ukraine. The thesis analyses the preconditions and social perspectives of the process of formation national identity, studying through analysis different aspects: ethnic, regional, language and cultural, political and geopolitical. The thesis includes a question of main correlation between system of national identity in Ukrainian society in contemporary Ukraine. On the basis of sociologic researches was analysed region's specific of formation the national identity and finding evident and potential menaces of national interests. The formation of the national identity in the Ukraine's regions is proved as precondition for deepening the obligatory process of political nation formation and effective realization of the national interests in Ukraine. National idea has a function of consolidation in the process of formation national identity.
