Nesvirska T. The Formation of the General Cultural Competence of Future Teachers of a Foreign Language in the Process of Professional Training

The thesis presents a theoretical and experimental investigation of the problem of the formation of the general cultural competence of future teachers of a foreign language in the process of professional training. The essence and content of the general cultural competence of future teachers of a foreign language is defined as well as its structure which includes functions and structural components. It is determined that a foreign language has certain resource opportunities that can be used in the process of formation of the general cultural competence of future teachers. The model of formation of the general cultural competence of future teachers of a foreign language in the process of professional training is worked out and experimentally tested. Its effectiveness is proved by the results of the experimental work.
