Object - professional training of prospective officers in higher military educational establishments; aim - to reveal the influence of theoretically substantiated pedagogical conditions on polycultural competence forming in cadets of higher military educational establishments in the process of teaching Humanities; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research has been the first to provide a theoretical study and experimental testing of pedagogical conditions facilitating the efficiency of polycultural competence forming in cadets of higher military educational establishments in the process of teaching Humanities and to focus on the polyculturally- oriented content aspects of these subjects; cadets' interaction organization in different types of communicative activity directed at their practical communicative experience accumulation has been analysed; the term cadets' polycultural competence has been defined as an integrated professional and personality trait providing the future officer with the ability to interact with the representatives of other cultures adhering to the principles of mutual respect and mutual understanding and ensuring efficient fulfillment of professional tasks in multicultural environment; results - practical importance of the research lies in the fact that the researched pedagogical conditions of cadets' polycultural competence forming in higher military educational establishments in the process of teaching Humanities are recommended for considering and implementation; field - pedagogy
