Essay

The structure of uterus and ovaries of female white rats with experimental obesity and alimentary emaciation were changed. Restructuring of their arterial bed was detected on histological and organometrical level. The processes of uterine involution have been identified on the background of increasing massometrical ovarian parameters during alimentary emaciation. That was accompanied by increase in the degree of asymmetry and tortuosity of arterial vessels. Branching coefficient is increased too. The capacity of the vessels significantly decreased due to increasing vascular wall thickness and reducing of vascular lumen. However, despite the growth of ovarian functional activity, colpotcytological picture of female white rats with alimentary emaciation was characterized by signs of the vaginal mucous membrane atrophy. This signs in combination with lengthening of the estrous cycle indicate the formation of hypoestrogen background. Tortuosity and intensity of the uterine arterial vessels have been increased at obesity. Increasing of the diameter of the uterine artery main trunk was accompanied with a signs of uterine hyperplasia. The simultaneous relative hypoplasia of the ovaries and inhibition of folliculogenesis were detected. However, formation of hyperestrogen background has been observed in experimental animals with simulated obesity. That was caused by activation of extragonadal synthesis of estrogens by over-developed fatty tissue and was accompanied by decreasing of ovarian functional activity.
