Essay

The thesis reveals the causes and nature of the Polish and Jewish issues in the bourgeois reforms period in the Russian Empire. The government policy aimed to neutralize separatist Poles, elimination of Polish landlordism and Russification policy (particularly in education) is traced as well as the author's interpretation of this policy nature is given. The liberalization of anti-Jewish legislation and the authority measures aimed at stimulating policy of Jews' integration into the dominant in the Empire sociocultural environment were investigated. It was stated that the main Russification policy manifestations were the Poles' and Jews' landowning limiting, the Russian language introduction into the educational process.
