Konyk Y. Province land-surveying service in the southern right-bank Ukraine (the last third of the XVIII c. - the first one-third of the XIX c.).

Dissertation is devoted to study of the history and activities of province land-surveying service in the southern right-bank Ukraine of the last third of the XVIII c. - the first one-third of the XIX c. New original materials are used to show all stages of reorganization of south-Ukrainian land-surveying service from the period of its creation to final organizational making; the main point and causes of regional differences in its structure and personnel are cleared up. Normative legal rules are analyzed, main directions of activities of land-surveying institutions and officials are considered, education and professional standard of land surveyors as well as their social and property status is characterized. Contribution of province land-surveying service into economic development and formation of technical knowledge in southern region of Ukraine is defined.
