Zhengal K. Activity of Odessa region trade unions in conditions of independence of Ukraine (1991-2002)

The dissertation is a complex historical investigation of the trade unions movement in Odessa region in conditions of the independence of Ukraine. The alteration of the role and essence of trade unions in Ukrainian society is traced on the ground of various sources analysis. The transformation of trade unions movement, separation of certain types of trade unions, their inner interaction are shown within Odessa region, considering its specific character. Basic trends of trade unions activity, forms of interaction between trade unions and the power, employers. The investigation of trade unions influence on such spheres as population living standards, employment, timely salary payment, labour protection and health care for population is based on analysis of the social-economic development of the region.
