Kovtanyuk Y. Electronic Documentation Studies in Ukraine: the essence of scientific direction, the history of formation and prospects of development.

The dissertation is the first research in Ukraine Documentation Studies in which on the basis of the identified worked and sources, and approbation of the complex was studied composition and content of records with electronic media, the state of Electronic Records Management Systems, and individual life-cycle processes of electronic records. The Electronic Documentation Studies is allocated as the scientific direction of Documentation Studies. Defined by the object, subject and objectives of Electronic Documentation Studies. The essence of the new scientific direction, the history of its formation, the key periods becoming, advance and prospects for further its development. Was carried out a comparative analysis of domestic, Russian (CIS) and English (International) terminological systems. New terms are defined Electronic Documentation Studies and the proposed Ukrainian equivalents of Russian and English terms. The manuscript presents the classification of records with electronic media and information model of the electronic record. Analyzed the relationship between the Electronic Documentation Studies with other areas of knowledge.
