Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the philosophical aspect of comparative analysis of the formation and development of the united European education space, its tendencies obtaining their formal embodiment in the norms of the Bologna process and being investigated on the example of characteristic features peculiar to the today's introduction of major guidelines of that process in the systems of higher education in such countries as Germany and Ukraine. The experience of the reformation of German education that could be broadly and fruitfully used, as summarized by the author, in the process of modernizing the Ukrainian higher education, demonstrates conditionality of the philosophical foundations of contemporary European education by the classical ideal of university as an institution based on self-government, freedom of study and the combination of study process and research activity.
