Object: vocational schooling on West Ukrainian lands at the end of the XIX th - the first third of the XXth century. Aim: on the basis of the commercial education genesis on West Ukrainian lands during the stated period to determine the peculiarities of its development and define the prospects of the creative usage of the positive ideas in the modern economic educational space. Practical value: the findings have been depicted in the content of the special course as well as the recommendations due to the historical and pedagogical legacy usage in the modern educational institutions work have been substantiated.
