Barschevska N. The relief and Quaternary deposits of the Ingul river basin

Hydrographical system of the Ingul river basin and its changes during the last centuries has been studied. The main factors of geomorphogenesis and Quaternary lithogenesis in the basin have been analyzed. Morphological and morphometrical characteristics of the relief have been studied in detail. Morphostructure and neotektonics of the basin, as well as their impact on morpholithogenesis has been investigated. Subdivision of the studied basin into morphostructural regions has been elaborated for the first time. The regional morphoscultpure and fluvial geomorphology in the basin have been described. On the base of lithopedology, the Plio-Pleistocene key sites of the Ingul river basin have been studied. The relative geological age of the relief types and forms has been determined.
