Essay

The thesis solves the scientific and applied problems of developing methods and models to identify the configuration of the project on the cascade of small derivative hydroelectric power stations for electricity production on the basis of small mountain rivers' hydropower. The method and statistical simulation model and virtual elementary system-product "river section - the hydroelectric power station", was developed which enable the selection of elementary and justification of complex objects of the project configuration. The method and deterministic simulation model of a virtual system-product "river - hydroelectric power stations cascade" was also developed to determine the product structure of the project. Based on the developed method the configuration framework for the project product structure was established. Statistical models of constituent characteristics of the project environment were substantiated. The computer experiments were accomplished and the results of modeling were analyzed. The algorithms for selecting the elementary configuration objects and the justification of complex configuration objects, the definition of product structure and the installation of the configuration database were substantiated. The results of the research were put into practice.
