Based on archival and published sources (assembly and record keeping documents, statistical and reference materials, documents of political parties, verbatim reports, collections of speeches and bills parliamentarians, newspaper and magazine journalism, memoirs and reminiscences, correspondence) and scientific literature the participation of deputies of the Ukrainian provinces and cities in the I?IV State Duma of the Russian Empire (1906?1917). Analysis of Ukrainian and foreign historiography, in addition to very large complex of works on history of parliamentary system in Russia in the early twentieth century. Showed no special comprehensive study of selected problems. Thus, the work pre-Soviet period feature narrative and journalistic style and ideological engagement. Historiography of Soviet-era problems developing in the direction of studying the tactics of the left Duma deputies (mainly Social Democrats). Instead, the current stage of development of Ukrainian and foreign (primarily Russian) history of science is characterized by the appearance of a number of different aspects allowed studies on the activity of I?IV State Duma of the Russian Empire.
