3. The thesis is dedicated to the issue of developing and getting the surface coatings based on carborane-siloxane lacquer for wood construction materials, and also to the issue of its service properties evaluation. The best formulation and methods of getting the base compositions for surface coatings has been determined. The use of aluminium and zinc oxide as antiseptic, kaolin - as a fire resistant and basalt fibre - as an armouring component for getting ecologically safe atmospheric, bio-fire resistant and strong adhesive surface coatings have also been grounded. A mathematical model for calculating a fire resistant borderline of coatings by loosing its heat-insulating ability regarding its complexion and exploitation conditions has been offered. By the results of toxicological and hygienic and microbiological studies it has been determined that the paint bio-fire resistant composition is non-toxic, meets the ecological requirements, and the coatings have fungicidal abilities and are fungi resistant. Service properties of the developed surface coatings and the given evaluation of its changes under the influence of moisture, bioactive environments, high temperatures and fire have been studied. The durability of the developed coatings is forecasted via the method of accelerated aging. A complex merchandising evaluation of coatings quality has been conducted and its higher, as compared to the base model, protective efficacy is proved. A project for Technical Conditions and production schedules have already been elaborated for the surface coatings proposed. By the results of industrial testing, the feasibility and cost effectiveness of introducing the surface coatings into practice has been proved.
