Shiyan D. The territorial features of disease incidence of population of Kryvyi Rig as the center of old industrial region

Socio-geographical analysis of disease incidence of population of Kryvyi Rig is made. The concept of an old industrial region from positions of social geography is specified. It is shown that the disease incidence is the result of interaction of three components of sociogeosystem - society, economy and environment. The original methods of socio-geographucal study of disease incidence of the population, which take into account certain disparities in the development of old industrial regions, are established. The analysis of economic and geographical characteristics of the Dnipropetrovs'k region is made; the general factors of population's state of health are considered; the characteristics of the ecological situation of Kryvorizhskyi old industrial region from the standpoint of its impact on disease incidence of the population is given; general analysis of disease incidence of population of Kryvyi Rig is made. It is shown that an increase in disease incidence and mortality in the Dnipropetrovs'k region and Kryvbass is caused by unfavorable ecological situation in the region. Statistical and spatial models of distribution of pollution ingredients in industrial emissions into the atmosphere and their impact on people's health are built. The method of factor analysis is used to study the factors which cause ecology-dependent diseases. Using cluster analysis the classification of urban areas in terms of disease incidence is made; by means of GIS technology pathogenic zones in the city are determined and maps showing the incidence of different groups of diseases are created. The concept of ecological and geopathogenic area from the standpoint of social geography is specified; ecological and geopathogenic zoning of Kryvyi Rig is established and made. The recommendation on improving the medical and ecological situation in Kryvbass are developed.
