Boyko Z. Social and geographical features of labor resources of Dnipropetrovsk region.

Object of research - labor resources of the region (LR). A social and geographical analysis of the state and the formation process of labor resources in districts of Dnipropetrovs'k region is made. The development of "labor resources" concept is analyzed; the modern classification of factors of the formation of the labor resources is considered. Methods of social and geographical research of labor resources are established; for their quantitative assessment simple and integral indicators are developed. The periodization of labor resources of Dnipropetrovs'k region development is made, specific demographic, socio-economic conditions and the dynamics of their formation and functioning are considered. By the procedure of factor analysis, the determinants of this process - demographic, unemployment, age and migration are identified; spatial-temporal analysis of the selected factors is made. Using cluster analysis the grouping of the districts of Dnipropetrovs'k region is determined; the partial and generalized classification of the districts is made; the frequencies of grouping are identified and degree of specificity of certain districts by the formation of labor resources is established. For each district, coefficient of efficiency of labor resources usage, demographic, age, migration and integral indicators of labor resources are identified. The ranking and classification of districts for the values and dynamics of indicators of labor resources is made. On the basis of generalized classifications of districts - the dynamics and rating - the final classification of districts that reflects the balance of the formation of labor resources and problem areas of the process is built.
