Bezliudna V. The social work system with the family in the USA

The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of social work system with the family in the USA. The concept "social work system with family in the USA" is determined in the manuscript. The author analyzed the basic components of the social work system with family in the USA: aim (giving family support in the decision of its vitally important problems), principles (social justice, humanism, objectivity, tolerance, system, positive character of family), subjects (state and private organizations, physical persons), objects (different types of families), technological providing (programs, methods, forms). Historical-pedagogical analysis of social work in the USA gave us the opportunity to determine and substantiate the stages of social work development with the family in the USA: I stage (the beginning of XIX - the end of XIX) - origination of voluntary work as a kind of help; II stage (the end of XIX - the beginning of XX) - development of social work with family in society; III stage (the beginning of XX - 30 XX) - origination of social work with family in school; IV stage (30 XX - the end of 1960 XX) - creation of family social support organizations; V stage (the end of 1970 XX - up to these days) - development of social work system with the family. The dissertation focuses on the context of social work system with the family in the USA. The methods of social family work in the USA are determined in the work (individual, group work, street work, interference, method of psychological approach etc.) and forms (conversation, consultation, training, actions, family meetings etc.) on the modern stage. Special features of social work with family in american school are characterized here; the analysis of family support programs is made in the work and classification of these programes is made here. The author introduced recommendations of American experience of social work with family for Ukraine.
