The thesis presents a theoretical analysis of the problem in the system of legal, sociological, psychological and pedagogical knowledge; ascertains social and pedagogical preconditions of the necessity to prevent influence of criminal subculture at special educational institutions. The information on the socio-demographic, criminal, psychological and educational characteristics of juvenile offenders serving sentences in special educational institutions. Researched and summarized is the criteria, indicators and levels of lawful behaviour of juvenile offenders are determined, the current state of prevention of influence of criminal subculture of juvenile offenders at special educational institutions is examined. The social and pedagogical conditions of prevention of the influence of criminal subculture of juvenile offenders at special educational institutions are dexribed; their efficiency is tested The structural and functional model of prevention of the effects of criminal subculture at juvenile offenders in special educational institutions is developed and tested.
