The thesis is devoted to the expansion of the domestic footwear range by making sports footwear for skateboarding. The theoretical and experimental researches of the consumer properties of sports footwear for skateboarding are carried out for the first time. The comprehensive analysis is carried out: of the state and problems of the national market and the scientific researches of sports footwear; of the shopping range, normative and technical provision of sports footwear for skateboarding. The scientifically based nomenclature of the consumer properties of sports footwear for skateboarding and the requirements for it by studying special features of its exploitation are worked out. The technique is offered and the stable and graphic researches of the indicators of consumer properties of sports footwear for skateboarding are carried out. Physical and mechanical testing of this footwear is conducted. The main stages of merchandising assessment of the quality of footwear for skateboarding are defined and implemented. The recommendations on consumers' evaluation of the quality of sports footwear for skateboarding in the process of buying are developed. The results of the patent search for approaches to improve the consumer properties and range of sports footwear for skateboarding are put forward. The design of domestic sport footwear for skateboarding and the patent on an industrial sample of this footwear are developed. The experimental consignment is made and pilot wearing of domestic sports footwear for skateboarding is carried out. The technical specifications for sports footwear for skateboarding are developed and the social and economic efficiency of the introduction of this footwear in domestic production is assessed.
