Nashivanko O. The Russophone terminology of medical cosmetology in system and functional aspects.

The object is a special lexicon of the professional field "Medical cosmetology". The purpose is complex description of medical cosmetological terminology in the context of extra linguistic factors which influence its formation. The methods are descriptive, systemic, structural and semantic, the methods of onomasiological analysis and modeling, quantitative statistic calculations, classification; conceptual, categorical, contextual analysis. The processes of cosmetology formation as a scientific and practical sphere of medicine have been analyzed. Interaction between thematic groupscosmetics and cosmetology corresponding terms has been studied. The place of medical cosmetology among adjacent disciplines has been found. The nature of formation of medicalcosmetological terminological system has been defined. Hierarchical classification of medical cosmetology branches has been worked out. In the course of the research, inventory of medical cosmetological terms has been made up for the first time and some Russian language peculiarities of this inventory have been determined. Specific features of synonymy, antonymy and semantic polysemy have been revealed. The conceptual and thematic analysis of medicalcosmetological terminological sphere has been carried out, resulting in the establishing and describing of main thematic groups, subsystems, lexical families of words of terms. The structural types of medical cosmetological terms have been determined. Inventory of main onomasiological markers represented in complex and compound nominations has been investigated.
