In the dissertation based on contemporary documentary sources is given a comprehensive analysis of cultural life in the western regions of Ukraine in 1939-1941. This work defines the state of culture in the land in the period of the interwar Poland. There is described the process of establishment of the Soviet system in the Western Ukraine, the content and main directions of Sovietization of cultural life.
