Essay

The dissertation is based on the scientific literature and chronicle sources of XIV - XVI centuries. An attempt undertake a study complex research of the chronicle' fragments of XI - XIII centuries with chernihiv content was made. The criterions and methods of the marking of the Сhernihiv chronical fragments of XI - XIII centuries are defined. Fragments with chernihiv content and chernihiv origin from south-rus, novgorodian and north-east compiled chronicles are pointed out. On the way of using elements of the content-analyse method in order to interpret origin of chronicle fragments with chernihiv content are analysed.
