The dissertation addressed theoretical and technological bases of geography teachers' professional competence development in basic economics in the system of post graduate education. The term "geography teachers' professional competence in basic economics" is formulated. Defined criteria: value-motivational, cognitive, procedurally-acting and informational, indicators and levels of geography teachers' professional competence in basic economics development: low, adequate and high. Pedagogical technology of scientific and methodological support of geography teachers' professional competence in basic economics development was theoretically grounded, designed and experimentally examined. Content-procedural provision of educational technology's implementation was designed: the educational program for professional development of geography and basic economics teachers, educational materials for teachers and students, portfolio of andragogue and teacher.
