Along with the developed metatext of the Russian modernism (symbolism, acmeism, futurism) writings, the peculiar specifics in the period of XIX-XX border is acquired by the presence of theoretical works, in particular, by authors-symbolists, who have formed their own scientific-analytical apparatus, that stipulates high efficiency of metatextual research at the analysis of the Russian modernism literature. The example of Andrei Bely as the eminent personality among the writers-theorists of the symbolism epoch in Russian literature is representative. The metatext of Andrei Bely's treatise "Aaron's Rod (About The Word In Poetry)", "Kotik Letaev", "The Christened Chinaman" and "Diary of an Eccentric" novels as metaprose are studied. Intertextual, paratextual and architextual levels of Andrey Bely's noted works are also analyzed.
