Klymenko T. Lexico-stylistic embodiment of сoncepts LIGHT and DARKNESS in the Russian linguistic picture of the world.

Object - concepts of LIGHT and DARKNESS. The purpose is to reveal the composition, to characterize lexical and stylistic means and ways of conceptualizing and speech-language embodiment of ontological opposition LIGHT - DARKNESS in the Russian language. Methods - descriptive, complete sampling, the quantitative component analysis. Following dissertation research deals with to the comprehensive description of linguistic means of expression of the concepts of LIGHT and DARKNESS and their semantic filling in the Russian linguistic picture of the world on the material of the dictionary definitions, phraseological units and literary contexts of the twentieth century. The concepts of LIGHT and DARKNESS act as one of the key cultural constants of the Russian people and show how objective information about the phenomena of light and darkness, provided in the core of the concept, and so shaped, metaphorically marked, is implemented in the author's view of the world. The study identified the language units, representing the concepts of LIGHT and DARKNESS, the system of their frame relations is built. The use of these concepts in the structure of the units of the figurative nature is identified. The scope is the educational process, development of dictionaries.
