Essay

The dissertation is focused on comprehensive research in the field of translation of humor and satire in German stage texts into Ukrainian. The research is dedicated to theoretical basis of plays translation in the context of general translation theory, analysis of translation features of humor and satire for theater. The third section is devoted to comparative analysis of translation of German drama text into Ukrainian, taking into consideration translation of humar and satire, in particular the non-lingusitic aspect. Translations of German sketches into Ukrainian as well as their analysis are provided. Practical recommendations for translation of short stage humor texts were elaborated.
