Essay

In the thesis a scientific and theoretical analysis of the problem of students' socialization is carried out; the essence of the research basic notions is specified: "socialization of students of higher educational institutions", "social competence". Peculiarities of the problem under research are cleared out. Social and pedagogical conditions of the students' socialization at higher pedagogical institutions are substantiated. Criteria, indices and levels of the social competence as a result of student's socialization at higher pedagogical institutions are characterized. A model of students' socialization at higher pedagogical institutions is developed and experimentally approbated.
