Object - process of professional training of students; aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally checked pedagogical conditions on students' readiness to valeological self-improvement in the process of professional training ; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research has been the first to provide a theoretical substantiation and experimental check of pedagogical conditions of valeological self-improvement of future teachers of physical culture; the essence of the term "valeological self-improvement" of future teachers of physical culture as a process of systematic, goal-oriented, planned and independent, personally justified serious self-improvement as well as a process of one's health strengthening and the process of following healthy life style has been specified; the modes of valeological self-improvement of future teachers of physical culture have been studied; results - pedagogical conditions of valeological self-improvement have been experimentally checked and may be implemented in the process of training prospective teachers of physical culture. Theoretical ideas and practical data may be used in pedagogical institutions of III-IV levels of accreditation to renew the contents of lectures and practical seminars in Pedagogy, Theory and Methods of Physical Education, Life Safety; field - pedagogy
