Essay

The dissertation investigates the geospatial organization of media in Ukraine and the world. Modern theoretical and methodological approaches and the author's vision of socio-geographical scientific research of media were found. The notion of "media", "media industry", "media market" and an analysis of existing studies of the media industry were clarified. Analysis of regional differentiation of the sectoral structure and integration forms of media, the estimation of the territorial structure of the media industry in the world were developed. The historical background of formation, regional differentiation and territorial structure were analyzed. Development forecasts and the ways of improving the media industry in Ukraine were elaborated.
