In the dissertation problems of development of IT competence of teachers are researched in the system of postgraduate education. The concept of IT competence of teachers is defined and justified as systematical quality of personality, which is characterized by unity of professional knowledge and skills in information technology, values and personal attitudes. Based on the theoretical and methodological principles of competence-based approach, four components are identified in the structure of IT competencies: motivational task, cognitive, operational-active, reflective, characterized by levels of formation of teachers' IT competence (basic, object-oriented, organizational management, corporate), their content is defined.
