The dynamics of the USSR's population's attitudes during perestroika and it's reaction to certain socio-political phenomenon of the USSR's and Ukrainian SSR's socio-economic development are investigated in dissertation. The reason of dissatisfaction's restructuring process' growth and the reasons of reducing the influence of Soviet ideology on society are analyzed. The establishment of a Communist's Party legal opposition is considered; the dynamics of activating population's participation in political life is investigated. The representations about transformation of Ukrainian SSR's population's attitudes under the socio-political processes' influence in the country are greatly expanded. The changes of Ukrainian civil population's position in the sovereignty and political life's activization process in Ukrainian SSR are opened. The public's attitudes to Ukrainian state independence proclamation in 1991 are explored.
